Hidden Words Reveal the Riches of Christ |
The Cross of Nails is a metal sculpture
depicting the riches of Christ. Its meaning is described as follows:
Our lives are a gift. Life is precious and God intended us to know him
personally and fully. Some of us have lived our lives without him. We have
walked past the cross and never noticed what Christ has for us.
Perhaps one day our lives change and we have our eyes opened to him. He changes
us and we can now see the glorious riches he has for us.
The “Cross of Nails” is made from masonry nails. From a distance, it look like a
cross. From a closer view, one can notice words that are appear on it. The words
become more noticeable as the viewer draws near to it. When the viewer is near,
he can see words that describe the glorious riches of Christ. These are things
like love, peace, victory, hope, joy etc.
There are other themes that are designed into the cross. Spikes represent his
pain that he bore for us. A vine like structure suggests life within the cross.
Numerous other themes can be noticed. But only if one draws near!

How The Cross Is Made...
The cross is made almost entirely from cut masonry nails. The nails are
composed and welded in a free formed arrangement. Each cross is uniquely
different and made up of somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 individual nails.
When the entire unit is together, it forms a rigid structure that can be easily
mounted to the wall. The cross is powder coated to a gold vein color.
